Balqalam is opening 10 free pilot slots for K-12 schools across MENA. Pilots run 3 months free on the live platform with full support, in exchange for weekly feedback and the right to publish a case study; after that the school moves to an annual contract. The first slot is held by King Fahad Schools.
Onboarding & go-live
During the pilot the school sets up nothing. We provision a private, working school — your subdomain, your curriculum seed, your roster imported — then send you a link to log in. No software to install, no server, no re-typing data. Time from "yes" to a populated dashboard: same day. The school's only homework is sending the student and teacher list it already keeps in Excel.

At handover you get one message with everything below. Replace {school} with the subdomain (e.g. kingfahd); Arabic (/ar) is the default, English is /en.

What the school needs
To start, send us once: school name + description; country & currency; logo + brand colour (optional); the student and teacher lists (Excel or CSV, in whatever columns they already have — Arabic or English headers both work); and one admin point-of-contact.
To use it, all they need is a modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox) and an internet connection. The app also installs to a phone home screen (optional). No install, no server, no IT person, and no payment processor required to begin.
Step by step
- Intake — the school sends the details + roster. Messy or Arabic columns are fine; the importer maps common names (الاسم/"name", الصف/"grade", ولي الأمر/"guardian") and auto-generates student IDs.
- We provision — private subdomain, full school structure, roster import, and admin login, ready in minutes.
- Handover — the school receives the links and admin credential in one message.
- First login — the admin signs in, sets a password, and lands on a dashboard already populated with their grades, classes, subjects, and people — not a blank page.
- Get people in — invite teachers and staff by email; generate student logins from the dashboard (share by copy/email/WhatsApp); guardians link from the same import; a 6-character join code allows self-enroll.
- Open admissions (optional) — the admissions page and application form are already live; share the admissions link to start accepting applications. Applying is free for families.
Fees during the pilot are recorded in the system but collected the school's usual way (cash or bank transfer); online card payments can be switched on later. All data stays exportable as CSV/JSON at any time — no lock-in.
