Marketing

PreviousNext

balqalam's marketing strategy — the decision, vision, positioning, eight principles and the 90-day goal. The entry point to the whole marketing section.

Content is not a goal separate from sales. Every piece must build trust, expose a problem, show proof, or produce a qualified lead. Any activity that does not bring a new school, keep an existing one, or generate a qualified lead gets reviewed or stopped.

This section replaces the earlier marketing page. The name is balqalam (بالقلم), not Hogwarts; we no longer position as open source; and paid ads are on — after content has proven itself organically. Every number or feature passes through the Claim Registry first. The commercial facts (pricing, offer, deliverables) live in the Marketing Brief.

The strategic decision

balqalam will not show up as a software page that only posts its features, and it will not become a general education-news magazine. We are building a smart Arabic reference for school owners and principals — one that explains how a school learns better and runs more clearly, then proves how balqalam turns that knowledge into daily work.

Vision

For balqalam to be the clearest Arabic reference for a principal who wants to understand how a modern school works, and how to move from paper and scattered files to integrated, measurable management.

What we do not want to become:

  • A feature page and nothing else.
  • A general education-news magazine with no link to the decision-maker.
  • A study-tips account aimed at students.
  • A page chasing every education trend.
  • An account that inflates neuroscience or spreads neuromyths.
  • A brand that claims results it never measured.

The editorial promise: we explain complex knowledge that affects schools in plain language, turn it into an administrative decision, then show the practical application when balqalam is part of the answer.

Positioning

balqalam is an Arabic school management system that starts from the data a school already has, and brings admissions, attendance, fees, results and communication into one place.

TypeLine (Arabic is the source)
Primaryاتمتة متكاملة — اجعل مدرستك كلها في مكان واحد · Your whole school in one place
Adالقبول والحضور والرسوم ومتابعة أولياء الأمور في شاشة واحدة · Admissions, attendance, fees and parents on one screen
Transition seriesمن الدفتر إلى بالقلم · From the ledger to balqalam

Core message: your whole school in one place — admissions, attendance, fees, results and communication — in an Arabic system that starts from the data you already have.

The eight principles

#PrincipleMeaning
1Cash firstContent serves trust, a lead, or retention
2Problem before featureStart from the school's day, not the module's name
3Show before claimA screen recording beats a marketing adjective
4Evidence before excitementKeep the study, the interpretation and the claim apart
5One audience per pieceNever address the principal, teacher and student at once
6One action per pieceNo three competing CTAs
7Arabic-firstArabic copy is original, not a literal translation
8Country-awareA Saudi objection differs from a Sudanese or Emirati one

The 90-day goal

  • A trustworthy foundation for publishing and advertising.
  • Turn the product from a feature list into a story people understand.
  • Produce 36 core ideas that can be repurposed.
  • Book qualified demos — not just grow followers.
  • Collect the market's own language from comments and calls, and rewrite our messages with it.

North Star: qualified demos booked per month, from content and ads. Detail in Measurement.
